Built in 1903, Station 3 was one of Houston's original fire stations. It is one of the city's historical landmarks and now serves as an event/wedding venue close to downtown. It also happens to be only a few blocks away from our house! Station 3 has three distinct spaces: the building has two floors and there is an outdoor courtyard. The wedding ceremony will take place indoors on the first floor; cocktail hour will take place outdoors in the courtyard; dinner will take place on the second floor; and dancing will be back on the first floor. There is an elevator/lift, as well as stairs.

Benny Thunders is a Heights neighborhood taproom, offering self-pour beer, wine, and mead. They have indoor space, a covered patio, and an uncovered lawn area. We have rented out the venue for our welcome party, so we will have full access to the indoor and outdoor areas.

I introduce myself as John these days. But, if you knew me in my pre-adult life (like Mary did) or were introduced to me by someone who already called me Johnny, you are grandfathered in. Either is fine!
